Our enriching and enjoyable summer programs for 2023 in Nelson, BC are rapidly approaching. Early Bird deadline is just 17 days away!

Nelson is a beautiful and quaint city nestled in the mountains offering a wonderful get-a-way where you can enjoy making music with other passionate string musicians and enjoy the fine restaurants, swims in the refreshing lake, picnics at the beach, walks on local trails and more.

Consider taking advantage of our early bird discount which is active now but ends on Fri, April 21st. After that regular rates apply with the final deadline for both programs being May 19, 2023. OUR PROGRAMS: CELLO FOCUS: June 9-11, 2023 "GOOD VIBRATIONS" Join cellists Jeff Faragher and Michael van der Sloot for a 12 hr intensive weekend focused on developing and/or expanding the vibrato technique and creating that warm iconic cello sound in our playing. CHAMBER STRINGS: July 10-14, 2023. Join Cellists Jeff Faragher with Olivia Walsh and Violinist/Violists Cvetozar Vutev and Martine den Bok for our week long intensive program including daily orchestra, sectionals, small chamber groups, a private lesson, Fiddle Fun with Brie Hurlbert, our inspiring Faculty Performance and ending on Friday with our final camp performance. NOTE: Music for small chamber groups in the Chamber Strings program will be sent after final registration is complete in May after we assign people to appropriate chamber groups. The Dancing Bear had been a favourite but this year has been fully booked by another party for both camp dates. The good news is to that two of the registrants have pre-booked suites that sleep 4-5.
